ThyssenKrupp Elevadores was chosen to supply the new Vila Franca de Xira Hospital with 25 elevators and escalators. The new Vila Franca de Xira Hospital opened to the general public on the 3rd of April 2013.

This project joins those already carried out by the company at the Royal Theater in Madrid, the Palace of Arts and Sciences in Valencia, the Bilbao Euskalduna Palace, the Casa da Música in Porto, and Sodre Auditorium in Montevideo, among others.

It will be the first building in the country with TWIN elevators, each one with two cabs travelling independently one above the other in the same shaft.

Eight escalators and five elevators for transporting passengers in the new AVE station in Girona. Until now, Girona was the only city in Catalonia that did not have a high speed train connection.
